Gender equality is part of the UNs Sustainable Development Goals and a crucial component when building the future of mobility, considering different users' various needs. The UN's theme for IWD 2021 is "Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world".
In the light of this, we asked our five impact leaders;
"WHAT DOES THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY MEAN TO YOU?"
Ödgärd Andersson, Chief Executive Officer at Zenseact
"When facing the biggest challenge in the industry; to develop technology as we do for making cars able to drive themselves and at the same time that can take safety to a whole new level, we believe in using our platform to also open up for innovation and collaboration. It used to be a world where every industry was a separate thing. Nowadays, we are all coming together to create speed and innovation by letting everyone add value. We are on a mission to make a difference in the world by saving lives on the streets; we want to bring others along in that mission."
"WHAT DOES THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY MEAN TO YOU?"
Isabelle Garzorz, Co-Founder at cogniBIT
"Sustainable, demand-based, and safe travels - this is my vision of future mobility, enabled by autonomous and connected driving technologies."
"WHAT DOES THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY MEAN TO YOU?"
Siobhan Anderson, Co-Founder at Tyre Collective
"The future of mobility is an opportunity for change. Now, on the brink of an electric revolution, we have the chance to reimagine our interactions with our environment and society to build a more sustainable future."
"WHAT DOES THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY MEAN TO YOU?"
Åsa Tamsons, Head of Business Area Technologies and New Business at Ericsson
"To me, future mobility is green, easy, flexible, and free – meaning – we are moving towards a new era where all transportation will be connected, autonomous, shared, and electric. This will make vehicles accessible to more people, more environment-friendly, and less expensive, resulting in transportation that ultimately is much more convenient to all of us."
"WHAT DOES THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY MEAN TO YOU?"
Katharina Roecker, Business Development Manager, High Mobility
"Mobility to me is an evolution that promotes freedom – a space that is smart and reactive to needs. The future of mobility will provide us new opportunities that will require us to foster a spirit of cooperation across borders and industries to maintain the necessary data integrity and to ensure security."
Isabelle Garzorz, Katharina Roecker, and Siobhan Anderson are all part of startups that joined MobilityXlab for our latest batch in January.
