GU Ventures has announced the launch of Mobility Booster to support and promote innovation in mobility. The initiative will offer resources to startups and scaleups in West Sweden to support their growth and competitiveness. Another goal is to contribute to strengthening the business life in the Gothenburg region.

"Mobility Booster is one of the many steps being taken in our region to build a sustainable future in the mobility sector. Through cooperation between startups and important actors, we can ensure that developed solutions benefit both the needs of the industry, as well as the environment and society," says Klementina Österberg, CEO of GU Ventures.

The work in the project is carried out together with MobilityXlab, which already focuses on the startup-industry collaboration, as well as the newly established Plug & Play Sweden with its large international group structure. Steptura real estate company brings its experience in developing innovation infrastructure in other sectors and is now developing Näst Innovation Destination Torslanda.

"The future results of Mobility Booster will extend beyond the individual business and benefit the entire region. This initiative strengthens West Sweden as a prominent player in innovation and sustainable mobility,” says Katarina Brud, director at MobilityXlab.

Mobility Booster’s ambition is to support at least a hundred emerging companies with opportunities to develop and expand business models and technologies. The project is financed by the EU through the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxverket) and the Västra Götaland region.
