Range anxiety: it is the shadow lurking behind the promise of electric vehicles. The hunt for reliable, open charging stations can quickly turn the cleaner and quieter EV ride into a frustrating detour. But MobilityXlab portfolio startup GO TO-U wants to change this narrative.

Their core innovation lies in a dynamic reservation system for EV charging stations. Their technology allows drivers to book and pay for a charging slot in advance, transforming the search for a charger from a “first come-first served" gamble into a guaranteed pit stop along the journey.
Founded in 2017, GO TO-U's mission is to accelerate transport decarbonization by transforming the EV driving and charging experience and contributing to making it more accessible. Now available in 67 countries and with more than 950,000 chargers on its platform, the solution attracted the attention of Techstars, ABB EL Ventures, and ABB Technology Ventures, which are currently investors in the startup.
By aligning promising technology with market traction, it was no surprise that GO TO-U was one of the companies selected to join MobilityXlab Batch 13. Through the program, the startup had the opportunity to work closely with Zeekr Technology Europe’s team to explore potential applications of its technology, as part of MobilityXlab’s collaborative innovation framework.
"I think that here I would give credit to MobilityXlab for bringing together two parts and basically enabling collaboration. And this willingness to cooperate is really, very valuable."

Ultimately, the future of electric vehicle charging and other technological changes relies not just on brilliant ideas or code but on effective collaboration. The collaborations facilitated by MobilityXlab highlight the important role of bringing together diverse expertise. It's in these interactions, where agile startups meet the scale and market insight of established corporations, that complex challenges begin to be solved.
