Thursday, November 27, 2025

MobilityXlab has been selected as a regional finalist at the Global Startup Awards (GSA) Nordics. The program is competing in the "Accelerator/Incubator Program of the Year" category and is the sole representative from Sweden. The awards aim to recognize various actors within the startup ecosystem, from founders to program organizers.

Text elements around the center include "NORDICS," the logo for "XO GROUP," the logo for "GLOBAL STARTUP AWARDS," and "REGIONAL FINALISTS."

The Global Startup Awards Nordics covers Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and the Baltics. MobilityXlab is competing against five other Nordic and Baltic organizations for the regional title. The other finalists in this category are Charge AS (Norway), Aalto Startup Center (Finland), Katapult Ocean (Norway), Baltic Sandbox (Lithuania) and The Factory (Norway).

Being selected as a finalist highlights the role that MobilityXlab plays in the Swedish innovation ecosystem, particularly through its structured collaboration model between startups and established industry giants.

Unlike traditional accelerators, MobilityXlab emphasizes co-creation and technology validation, offering startups direct access to its partners Volvo Group, Magna International, Zeekr Technology Europe and Zenseact. This approach has facilitated over 120 proof-of-concept projects and 25 accelerations, strongly contributing to strengthening West Sweden’s industrial competitiveness.

Selection Process and Voting

The selection of the regional winner involves a two-part process: a jury rating and a public vote. According to the competition rules, the public vote accounts for 20% of the final score. Voting is currently open for the Accelerator/Incubator category.

Winners of the Nordic regional competition automatically advance to the Global Level. At that stage, they will compete against regional winners from other parts of the world, evaluated by a global jury. The final winners will be announced at the Global Grand Finale Day.
