The current six partners of MobilityXlab: CEVT, Ericsson, Veoneer, Volvo Cars, Volvo Group, and Zenseact, see the addition of the all-electric performance premium brand as a good fit.

- Polestar’s combination of deep automotive expertise, paired with its cutting-edge technologies and agile, entrepreneurial culture with a focus on sustainability, makes them a perfect match for MobilityXlab and our founding partners, says Katarina Brud, Director MobilityXlab. Polestar’s market position will bring even greater attraction to us and, at the same time, be a massive gain for the other founding partners.

For Polestar, becoming the first partner company to join MobilityXlab since its inception in 2017 presents exciting opportunities for collaboration with global tech start-ups and industry companies.

- The partnership supports Polestar’s rapid growth strategy and allows us to leverage the wider tech industry to accelerate innovation. We are constantly looking for innovators that can help us bring value to our business, improve society, and ultimately benefit our customers. MobilityXlab is a perfect platform for this as well as opening opportunities to collaborate with partner companies, says Nils Mösko, Polestar’s Global Head of Strategy and Business Development.

The uniqueness of MobilityXlab is the closeness to its world-leading industry partners, as their representatives are involved in every part of the organization, from screening startups to leading the collaboration programs. To be invited to MobilityXlab, at least two partners need to be interested in a startup and its innovation.

- We see a great benefit with Polestar joining the eco-system at Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg. They will contribute to our joint efforts with their focus on sustainability and interest in multi-partner collaborations, and attract exciting new startups, concludes Tord Hermansson, CEO Lindholmen Science Park AB.

The partnership is formally approved by the MobilityXlab Board of Directors, and Polestar is a full-worthy partner from today’s date.
