WHAT WE DO
MobilityXlab is a collaboration hub that was founded in 2017 by global companies to create and develop new innovations within future mobility – with each other and with startups. Our partners are Magna, Polestar, Volvo Group, Zeekr Technology Europe and Zenseact. We are hosted by Lindholmen Science Park.
OUR IDEA
MobilityXlab offers young companies with pioneering ideas within mobility and connectivity the opportunity to access the network and accelerate through a strategic partnership with our partner companies. We are also a collaboration hub that enables projects between our partner companies. We do this by creating a space and culture of openness for collaboration and by connecting startups with partner companies through our 6-month innovation program.
VISION
Pioneering future mobility
MISSION

Openness, trust, collaboration
PROPOSITION
Together we bring future mobility closer
HOSTED BY LINDHOLMEN SCIENCE PARK
Lindholmen Science Park AB is jointly owned by Chalmers University of Technology, the City of Gothenburg, and the business community. Without private gain, it strives toward the vision to strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness with a focus on future mobility for people and goods through two parallel assignments. One is to develop the ecosystem within Lindholmen Science Park’s geographical area and the second is to run programs and activities promoting innovation and research.
MULTIPARTNER COLLABORATION A WIN-WIN FORMULA
What is unique about MobilityXlab is the closeness to our world-leading industry partners. Partner representatives are involved in every part of our organization, from screening new applicants to leading the innovation program.
The selection process for MobilityXlab takes place twice a year, with the partners deeply integrated and involved in the selection. To be invited into the program, a startup needs to be selected by at least two of the industry partners, which reinforces knowledge sharing and increases the outcomes for Proof-Of-Concept (PoC) and validation projects.
Since the start in 2017, 102 startups have been part of MobilityXlab, and 24 accelerations (commercial contracts or partnerships) have been reached.
